Love me some Tilapia! What a nice switch up from lean chicken and turkey. I get asked all the time what are some good protein ideas. This fish doesn’t have that “fishy” smell which sometimes bothers people. It has a simple texture and taste. Tilapia is pretty much all protein and barely any fat. One fillet generally has around 23 grams of protein and 2 grams of fat. (awesome) I always keep these low carb tortillas around for starving moments when I definitely need a healthy carbohydrate to blend with my protein. (located under quick snacks) I buy tilapia frozen from Costco because I think it is cheapest. Just put a few frozen fillets into the fridge the day before you want to bake them and they will un-thaw perfectly.
INGREDIENTS:
I usually fill up a 9×13 with tilapia and keep it in the fridge for wraps, salads and of course a quick protein.
DIRECTIONS:
1- spray any size pyrex before you place your unthawed tilapia onto it ( I like to bake about 6 at a time)
2- season with Lawry’s, garlic salt and whatever seasonings you can’t live without
3- bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes
4- cover with foil and take it off the last five minutes
5- tilapia can dry out easily.. I like to spray with butter spray when it comes out of the oven!

6- for a mouth watering experience, drizzle with balsamic glaze (located next to the vinegars) or a dressing you love and add fresh veggies
Keeping this baked and ready to go in the fridge makes it easy for wraps, salads and of course a quick protein.*The key to healthy eating is pre planning your meals so you do not falter in the moment!
